Vent-A-Hood engaged CPB, Inc. to design a new web site with the goals of more accurately representing the technical sophistication of Vent-A-Hood products and to improve ease of user for Vent-A-Hood customers.

Database-driven, online catalogue facilitates customers in finding products. Catalogue is user-editable, allowing Vent-A-Hood staff to quickly make updates. The new site allows for more timely and accurate information while also reducing administration costs.
Standards compliant construction helps to ensure Vent-A-Hood's investment as Web technology progresses. The Web site was constructed using 100% industry compliant techniques (CSS and XHTML) providing an impressive site that is also compatible with most modern browsers. Interactive pages were developed using Java technologies (JSP / Servlets / JSTL) with a PostgreSQL back end.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques were applied both in the construction of the site and in the development of content, resulting in measurable improvements in search engine positioning within a few weeks after launch.
